Looking for a guilt-free snack that’s savory, crispy, and has perfect crunch? This snack is gluten-free, high-protein, low-carb, and low-calorie.

Let me tell you that there is a before and after trying these cottage cheese chips.

A couple of weeks ago, I was craving something crispy and salty. However, my body didn’t want zucchini chips, and going to the traditional crisps is just not it for me anymore.

All I had was cottage cheese, cheddar cheese, and bagel seasoning. And these crisps were born.

Cottage Cheese Chips

One of the great things about this recipe is its simplicity.

Not only does it require only three ingredients to make, but it also takes a couple of minutes to prepare, and you let the oven do the rest.

You can make a batch of these delicious cottage cheese chips and store them to have later throughout the week when you are craving a snack.

Ingredients and Substitutes

Cottage cheese (1 cup) – Choose full-fat or low-fat, depending on your dietary preferences. I prefer the texture of the full-fat cottage cheese.

Cheddar cheese, shredded (¼ cup) – You can use other shredded cheeses like mozzarella or Parmesan.

Everything Bagel seasoning (2 tbsp) – Other herbs will do, like rosemary, garlic powder, smoked paprika, or chili flakes.

How I Modify These Chips

  • Vegan Version: Swap the cottage cheese and cheddar with plant-based ricotta and vegan shredded cheese.
  • Add Some Spice: Sprinkle some cayenne pepper, crushed chili flakes, or a dash of hot sauce.
  • Change The Spices: To boost the flavor, mix finely chopped fresh herbs like dill, basil, or parsley.

Dips I Like for These Chips

Here are some of my favorite pairings to have with these chips.

  • Guacamole
  • Spicy salsa
  • Hummus
  • Blue cheese dip
  • Greek yogurt dip
  • Pico de gallo

My Storage Tips

Once the chips have cooled down, place them in an airtight container. This will help keep the moisture out and keep them nice and crunchy.

Keep them at room temperature since this can make them soft. You can keep them in a cool, dry place for up to 3-4 days.

If your chips have lost their crunch, there is no need to worry. Place them on a baking tray and bake them at 350F for 5 minutes. They’ll be as good as new!
