- 8 oz brie cheese wheel
- 2 apples cored and chopped
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- ¼ tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 lemon juice
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1/4 cup walnuts chopped
Preheat the oven to 350F, line up a small baking dish with parchment paper. Place the wheel of brie on it and bake for 15 minutes.
In a small bowl, combine together chopped apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg and squeeze in half a lemon juice. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
Heat up a pan to high heat, add in the butter, then add in the chopped apples without the juice. Cook on high heat for about 7 minutes, mixing with a spatula. Let those apples brown up.
Remove the apples from the pan, add them back into the bowl with juices, and immediately cover them with honey to let them caramelize. Mix all of them together.
Once the brie is baked, use a flat spatula to carefully transfer the brie onto the center of the plate. Make sure to transfer even melted cheese.
Top up with apples and sprinkle with chopped walnuts.
